BAPR Mission

Brewster Association of Part Time Residents' mission is to:

Inform members of Town and Cape Cod issues of importance.
Provide members a voice in local Brewster Town affairs.
Improve communication and cooperation between members and the Town of Brewster.
Use member resources and skills to the maximum benefit of the Town

We support our members:
We have opposed discriminatory taxes and improved our members' awareness of Town activities and issues pertinent to non-resident taxpayers.

We support our Town:

In 2017 a portion of the dues collected are donated to the town or for other civic projects or organizations. This year we gave the town $3,000 to purchase flashing lighted stop signs on the bike path, $950 to the Brewster Whitecaps, $141.85 for tags with BAPR on them for the bike racks we previously donated. We also donated $750 to the Brewster Ladies Library in appreciation for our use of the facilities.

In 2016 we have donated eight bike racks to be placed around town. We have also donated to the Whitecaps Baseball team, the Chamber of Commerce membership, and the purchase of windows at town hall.

In 2015 we donated $1,500 toward windows in the Town Hall, $500 for Brewster Town Hall sign, $800 to Whitecaps Baseball team and $250 to the Brewster Women’s Library

In 2010, BAPR donated $3,000 to fuel assistances and $400 to the Brewster Swap Shop for wood to heat the building during the winter

In October 2008, BAPR contributed $1000 to the Town's Fuel Assistance Fund and $1000 to the Crosby Mansion for furniture restoration and donated $3000 to the restoration effort for a beautiful historic building, the Brewster Meeting House (First Parish Church).

In 2007, BAPR donated $4500 for the purchase of three Automatic Emergency Defilibrators (AED's) - to be located at the Library, Town Hall and Senior Center. In addition, BAPR gave $250 to the Brewster Ladies' Library and $250 to the Brewster Pond Stewards.

In Fall 2006, BAPR donated $1700 to the Town to purchase a spectator bench and two picnic tables for the new baseball field at the Stony Brook School.

BAPR worked to assist needy residents to obtain financial support to meet their tax expenses. In 2004, BAPR organized the Brewster Information Forum that brings together full-time and part-time residents with the Town officials.A portion of the dues collected are donated to the town or for other civic projects or organizations.
